Andre Delano
Andre Delano’s musical journey began when he was eight years old. “My father would take me over to my older cousin’s house every weekend, and I would see him playing sax to his girlfriend in the basement. She would absolutely melt,” Andre says with a laugh. “And I said, ‘Okay, that’s definitely what I want to do.’”

Andre’s parents nurtured his interest and went into debt to buy his first saxophone. They provided Andre with emotional support and encouragement while he received his formal training at East St. Louis’ prestigious Lincoln High School, the alma mater of legendary jazz trumpeter Miles Davis.

For those of you who came out to The Groove’s Smooth Jazz Wednesday Nights at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Melbourne, What a time we had!! I appreciate all the incredible support and love that you showed to me and Tommy Organ (Guitar). Randy Bennett, Program Director for 93.1 The Groove, your hospitality was the absolute best ever!! What a radio interview! And let’s not forget to mention how spectacular the Space Shuttle launch was! And to think that you guys set all that up for little old me. (smile) Even got a chance to catch some of the night life in Melbourne…..let’s just say that I am flying high on the “Space Coast!!”
